Today marks 40 weeks and 4 days and our little girl is still tucked quietly inside her mommy’s belly. When will she decide it’s time to come out? I wish I knew.
In an effort to keep myself busy and distract my mind from the obvious, I decided to do another project. After a long discussion with Scott the other night about our budget (so fun!…not), we decided it’s time to really start watching how much we eat out and try to cook more meals at home. Of course, this is an excellent idea, especially since we are starting a family and need to get in the “dinner at home” routine anyway. So, I saw an idea a while back about creating a dry erase menu board for the kitchen. I’m all about meal planning, so I thought this project would be super useful.

This project was easy. I just put a 12×12 piece of patterned paper into a 12×12 frame. Then I used some stickers to spell out “MENU” at the top and the days of the week underneath.

I really like the way it turned out! I hope that it motivates me to be a better housewife!![]()

Laura Wells - I think this is great! Reading it made me hungry. And you WILL be a great housewife. Remember it takes practice AND YOU can’t do it all. I am proud of you.
Allison - I love this, Beth! You are so creative!
Elaine Bouranis - Beth, I sure enjoyed the project photos. I needed one of those just to jot down reminders or jobs I MUST do on one day or another.
I made one (not pretty like yours, though) with frame, shipping carton cardboard, and tissue paper–things I already had. I already have some of the erasable markers. should write down the date I need to change out Jimmy’s canula and clean the oxygen tank parts!! Thanks for the idea!! I was writing on papers, and those would get misplaces or covered with other things. A frame won’t be so easy to cover up!!!
